About the Workshop
Learn to draw objects in a convincing and expressive way.
This two hour workshop provides an introduction to observational pencil drawing. You will learn how to construct a well proportioned drawing and capture the pleasing forms within a chosen object from the collection. Consider how to give a sense of solidity to your sketch using shadows and highlights with only simple drawing materials. This session should provide useful insights for anyone looking to develop a simple sketchbook kit for documenting visits to galleries and exhibitions creating journals of any kind.
About the Artist
With over twenty years experience of teaching drawing in higher and further education, Andy Gray will be your tutor for this workshop. He is currently running Urban Sketching courses at The Bristol Folk House and Design West.
