About
One of the chief exponents of the British craft revival of the 1960s. Alan Peters trained under Sidney Barnsley and throughout his career, his work remained rooted in the traditions of the Arts & Crafts movement. The vernacular architecture of Japan and South Korea, where he travelled in the 1970s, was to have a profound influence on his approach to design. This stool, with its emphasis on form and structure and sparing use of decoration is characteristic of his work following his studies in Asia.
