About
The name Krenit is a combination of the name Krenchel and Eternit (a fibre cement which Herbert Krenchel worked with in his job as a material engineer). The bowls have a distinct design with matt black outsides, thin edges and clear coloured enamel insides. In 1954, the Krenit Bowl won a gold medal at the Triennale in Milan. When production stopped in 1966, one million bowls had been made. The design has recently been revived by Norman of Copenhagen.
