The Board is pleased to announce that Karen Thompson has been appointed as a Trustee.
Karen is is a not-for-profit and charity specialist with over 20 years of experience in the sector. She is passionate about unlocking the potential of charity finance—and the people behind it—to drive meaningful change. She has held a number of senior leadership roles, including Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer, and has also worked as a partner in some of the UK’s leading charity-specialist accounting and advisory teams.
Her career has spanned a wide range of organisations, from major national charities to small local groups, membership bodies, educational institutions, grant-making foundations, international development charities, and social enterprises. This breadth of experience has given her valuable insight into the challenges faced by charity boards and leadership teams, as well as practical expertise in strategy delivery, finance team transformation, governance and change management.
