About
Ronald Stennet-Wilson founded Kings Lynn Glassworks in 1966 and the Sheringham candlestick featured in the company’s first catalogue the following year. The design was produced with between 1 and 9 discs on the stem. The design was difficult to produce as each section was applied piece by piece, the larger sizes requiring two workers. The candlestick won the Queen’s Award for Industry in 1967 and remained in production after the factory was bought out by Wedgwood in 1969.
